Parent/teen meeting
There is a parent/teen meeting after 2nd service this morning in the high school room.  We will quickly go over the spring schedule and go over some of the changes that will be taking place this semester.  We will need parents to sign up to help with food for Huddles on Wednesday, and parents to help with the middle school class on Tuesday.  I will be starting up a new 6-week discipling program on Monday’s and Tuesday for those interested in learning more about becoming a Christian.  If that is you, please let me know today so I can start planning.   I will pick them you up from school and study with you for about 30-45 minutes and then take them home.  Or we can meet somewhere.  We will also be discussing Fabulous 13 and our preparation for that big event on February 16.  It is important that you come to the parent/teen meeting, it will only be about 15 minutes, but it helps us out tremendously.  We will be mailing out the calendars once we get our volunteers lined out.

Huddles and Classes to begin this week!
This Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. the middle school class will start back up again at the activity center in the High School room.   Also, Huddle will meet at the activity center this Wednesday (until I get a location) from 6-8 p.m.   Both groups will be starting their study and discussion of the supernatural and try to investigate some of the difficult questions like Aliens, Ghost, Heaven and Hell and Demon possession, and what the Bible has to say about it.  That sounds interesting to me I hope everyone enjoys that study.

Sweetheart Banquet
On Saturday, January 26 from 11-1 p.m. we will be having a special meal for our older members here at UCC.  This is an opportunity for our teens to serve the congregation and show off some of their talent.  We prepare all the food and provide the entertainment.  We usually have the teens serve the meal, so I will need about 15 teens to help with the distribution of food.  It only takes a few hours, but it is a lot of fun to serve.  Look at your calendars now and decide to be there that Saturday to help!

I am moving from a different home here in town.  My new address will be 2965 Maddox Loop which is off Roadrunner.  I will be moving next weekend out of my old home and into the new home on the following weekend.  So that means I will be homeless for about a week, but I will be staying with friends during that week.  I am hoping that everything goes according to plan, but if it does not, I may have to cancel a few things one being the Middle school Dinner and a Movie for this month.  I don’t think I will have time to pull that off.  I have not moved since 1989 so I may be a little more disoriented than usual.  If you are interested in helping, I will be loading up a truck this coming Saturday all day.  You are more than welcome to stop by move a few boxes this coming Saturday.
